        Do

                - Place your baby on their back to sleep, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Consult with your Doctor.

                - Use a crib that meets current safety standards.

                - Use a firm mattress that fits snuggly in the crib. Cover the mattress with only a tight-fitting sheet.

                - Use a sleep sack or other type of sleepover instead of blankets to keep you rbaby warm and safe at night.

                - Use a portable crib and/or playard if a traditional crib is unavailable.

                - Share a room. Place your baby's separate sleep space, like JPMA certified bassinet, near your bed to protect your baby and make nursing easier.

        Don't

                - Don't place your baby on their side or stomach. These positions are not safe.

                - Don't use pillows, blankets, comforters, bulky bumpers, or other soft items in the crib.

                - Don't sleep with your baby in a bed, couch or armchair.

                - Don't place your baby to sleep on top of any soft surgace, like adult beds, water beds, pillows, cushions, comforter and/or sheepskins.
